Want to connect with friends, business colleagues, or family members abroad? Have plans to travel or live overseas? Deepen your connection to other cultures while making the most out of your trips around the world! Take Tagalog courses before embarking on your next venture. As bilingualism becomes an increasingly common phenomenon in today’s society, it is no longer enough to rely on English alone. Opportunities for bi- and multilinguals await. If you are seeking to improve your hiring prospects, knowledge of a second or even third language can set you apart from other monolingual candidates by a significant margin.   How will you keep up?

Dallas is a melting pot of cultures, religions, and lifestyles, where you will feel at home no matter where you are from or what language you speak. According to the 2011 census, 23% of the population was born overseas and more than 90 languages are spoken in the city, the most popular of them being Spanish (with almost half a million speakers), Russian (with over 70,000 speakers), Chinese (with 10,000 speakers), and Somali and African languages (6,200 speakers), while Ukrainian, Korean, Japanese, among others, are also widely spoken.

Dallas is a major destination for immigrants in general, but especially Mexicans.  The populations of both the west and east sides of the city are predominantly Hispanic, and influence the cultural landscape of the region heavily when it comes to arts, food, music, and urban lifestyle. In addition, Dallas and its suburbs are home to a large number of Asian-Americans, including those of Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, and Japanese descent. Also, it has the sixth-largest Chinese-American population. Just take a walk around the city and you will find different neighborhoods where these communities have settled, like Chinatown, Koreatown, Little Portugal, and more. Connect with locals who speak a language other than English and expand your professional and cultural horizons by signing up for a language course with us today!
