Russian: the most widely spoken Slavic language and seventh most popular language in the world. It's one of the United Nation's official languages and, after English, Russian is the most used language on the Internet. As the language's influence grows, its global popularity continues to spread.

Chicago is the most populous city in the Midwest and it thrives on the harmony and diversity of its neighborhoods,. Its metropolitan area is home to around 10 million people, and the city’s busy cultural scene and flourishing economy has historically attracted immigrants from all over the world. And in a nation of immigrants, few cities reflect our country’s rich melting pot better than Chicago. You only have to take a stroll through Chicago to experience many different cultures in just one city: You can visit Chinatown, Portuguese restaurants, Little India, a small Koreatown, and the Japanese, Greek and Italian neighborhoods. Also, the city is home to expats from Ireland, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Korea, China, India, and many other countries! In fact, over 160 languages are spoken in Chicago, according to the 2011 census, and about 30% of the city’s population speaks a language other than English at home. So, if you are thinking about connecting with these communities on a deeper level, why don’t you sign up to learn one of these languages with us? Doing so will allow you to explore cultural events, broaden your professional horizons, and make new friends in Chicago and beyond!
