Reading and writing and study of subject matters relevant to the student will follow the basics of the course - namely traditional business greetings and etiquette. The advantages of being able to speak German fluently will soon be obvious if you need to deal with colleagues and customers who speak it. Telephone calls and email exchanges will now be a pleasure rather than something to be afraid of.
