Though currently living in Montreal, Francisco Peres was born in Portugal. He grew up near Lisbon, where he developed a passion for music, cinema, and the arts. Communication is central to Francisco’s being, and he shares his love for the world through his teaching and his collaborative works. Upon moving to Canada to pursue filmmaking and teaching, Francisco took it upon himself to share his love of the Portuguese language with those who surround him. Though he communicates primarily through English and French nowadays, he can’t help but inject Portuguese expressions and words into his everyday conversations, regarding his language as an essential and therefore indispensable aspect of his identity. His dream is to make monster movies surrounded by a cast and crew that share his passion for the fantastic.
