Some people might claim that the best way to learn anything is through a direct and easy approach: Easy to Learn Korean Language sticks to its name by helping students learn Korean the easy way. But what is the easy way? Perhaps it’s what this book offers which is clear explanations and interesting subject matter to help teach the information in each unit. Easy to Learn Korean Language is the perfect book to get some insight on learning Korean without the stress and hassle of normal language learning.

Overview

Easy to Learn Korean Language is the perfect book to learn things like useful Korean phrases, grammar, and topics relating to daily Korean life. Upon first glance, the book is very visually appealing with illustrated examples of cute cartoons and colorful designs all throughout the book. The book has 50 chapters that cover everything you’d ever need to know if you’re visiting Korea including food, greetings, shopping, expressing feelings/emotions and so much more. The information in each chapter is written in English, Korean and Korean in its Romanized form. In each unit there are also brief sections which provide informative tidbits about some special Korean expression. There is also a cute little “Tip Cat” that gives some tips about Korean society, culture and many things foreigners should know about living in Korea. Quite a useful cat he is! The best part about the book is that it’s not too long; each unit covers a lot of useful language in a clear and straight to the point manner.

The typical lesson in each unit or page (the book consists of one-page units) is very simple and this structure continues throughout the entire book. There are a wide variety of subjects in each lesson. Students will even go over casual language exercises such as ordering food on the phone and describing Korean dishes. Throughout the book there are various yellow boxes with incredibly useful phrases which are written in English and Korean. There are also sections in each unit to help students with Korean pronunciation and side notes to help students read and say certain things correctly. These sections are usually accompanied by charming illustrations and cute drawings. This sort of lesson style continues all throughout the book so it builds a nice rhythm lesson after lesson.

Pros

· Very easy to read and follow. The information in each lesson is easy to understand and can even be worked on without a teacher.

· Attractive layout and presentation that make it appealing to learners of all ages.

· Incredibly helpful if you’re just visiting Korea and not necessarily studying the language much deeper than that.

Cons

· Units are a bit short.
