Online Portuguese Lessons
Online Portuguese courses are suitable for all levels from Beginners to Proficiency, covering general, business and technical language and country-specific cultural training.
Online General Portuguese Lessons
This is the ideal course for students of all fluency levels, from Beginner to Advanced. All students will complete the course with a heightened sense of confidence and fluency depending on the number of hours chosen to study.
Survival Portuguese is part of the course requirement for Complete Beginners. This part of the course will train beginners in the essentials of the Portuguese language helping them to integrate easily into the culture of a Portuguese- speaking country. Upon completion of this part of the course, students will move on to their specified requirements and goals.
More fluent speakers will focus on the complexities of Portuguese grammar and pronunciation while improving their vocabulary, listening/speaking skills and fluency. Students may request specific training in any area of the Portuguese language.
Online General Portuguese is available as One-to-One and Two-to-One classes. Private (closed) group and Public (open) group classes are also offered. Private (closed) group classes are formed entirely by the student. Language Trainers will arrange the class according to the convenience of both the Trainer's and the students' schedules.
Public (open) group classes are available for all students to join. Language Trainers will arrange the classes. The schedule for the class is fixed; it will meet at the same time and day each week.
For both Private and Public group classes the maximum size per group is 8 people.
Minimum booking is 12 hours for all classes.
Online Business Portuguese Lessons
These lessons are especially designed for students who would like to study Portuguese to help them advance in their current employment situation.
Complete Beginners must complete Survival Portuguese, Email Portuguese and Telephone Portuguese. All three of these lessons are essential for building the necessary skills to improve or advance in the current position of employment. Once students have completed these requirements, they will begin to study other fundamentals of Business Portuguese such as formal greetings, Portuguese business etiquette and cultural differences.
Students with a higher skill level can expect to learn the basics of document reading rather than focusing on document writing. These students will also concentrate on the specified Portuguese requirements needed for their jobs.
Trainers are currently teaching students who are employees of multinational companies, in the import and export business and who are working in the areas of international negotiations and acquisitions. Language Trainers is also able to offer classes for those with international colleagues in the fields of both academia and business.
These lessons are available as One-to-One and Two-to-One. Private group classes are also available for those companies who wish to train their students in a group setting. Maximum group size is 8 people. Minimum booking for all classes is 12 hours.
Beyond the Phrasebook - Online Portuguese Lessons for Travelers
Travelers who are planning a trip to a Portuguese- speaking country will appreciate the ease and comfort of this course. Trainers will guide students through the basics of the Portuguese language teaching them correct pronunciation, essential vocabulary and phrases. After completing the course, students will feel confident in giving and receiving directions, shopping, exchanging money, booking hotel rooms and ordering food in Portuguese. Trainers will also adjust the course schedule to include special requests. A special request may include child adoption, relocating to a Portuguese- speaking country, buying property, etc.
This class is offered as ten 90- minute sessions. If there is little time left before the trip, students may choose to reduce the course to five 90- minute sessions.
