Online Italian Lessons
Language Trainers offers a wide range of Italian classes that are available for all students and for all skill levels. We will also customize courses depending on the students needs.
Online General Italian Lessons
These lessons offer students of all skill levels the opportunity to improve or fine-tune their fluency through the instruction of a native, Italian speaking trainer. Students will move through their chosen levels of study at a pace chosen by them.
Survival Italian will be taught to those students who are completely new to the Italian language. This survival lesson will help new Italian learners to better integrate into an Italian speaking culture. It will also improve their speaking confidence as they adjust to daily life while in a foreign country. After beginners complete this part of the course, they will continue on with their studies depending on their specified wants and needs. For those who are more fluent in Italian, they can expect to learn more complex vocabulary, grammatical structures, idioms and slang while improving their pronunciation and fluency.
This is the ideal course for people from all walks of life - for those who are planning to move to Italy, for those who are traveling for an extended period of time, or for those who just want to gain a better understanding of the Italian language, Italy and its culture.
These courses are available as one-to-one and two-to-one. We also offer group classes. Students may choose between General (open) Group Classes and Private (closed) Group Classes. General (open) group classes have a maximum of 8 students per group and any student may join. Open group classes have a set class schedule of times and dates for each month. This is not a flexible schedule. These classes are set up by Language Trainers.
Private (closed) group classes also have a maximum of 8 students per group and the student is able to form his/her own group. This type of group class has a more flexible schedule; Language Trainers will coordinate the class according to the students' and teacher's schedules.
All lessons typically last 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 2 hours. Minimum booking: 12 hours.
Online Business Italian Lessons
This is an ideal course for both beginners and more fluent speakers. Our trainers will guide each student through specific Italian business vocabulary and business practices that will both improve the student's business fluency and aid him or her in job advancement or placement.
Beginners will be taught the fundamentals of Italian grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. After grasping the necessary basics, beginners will be lead through the varying categories of Business Italian including cross-cultural differences, proper greetings and business etiquette. Our trainers will instruct the student in the specifics of Telephone Italian and Email Italian Skills. These essential skills will give the student the encouragement needed to pursue his or her business goals. Those who are more fluent in Italian will concentrate more on reading in Italian than writing. Job specific needs and requirements for Italian will also be addressed by the trainer.
Many of our students are also working for multinational companies in the area of international negotiations and acquisitions, import/export, etc. We also are training students who are currently looking for jobs in Italy.
Lessons are currently available for one-to-one or private (closed) group classes. Private, or closed, group classes allow for the students to pick and choose who they would like to be in their group. Language Trainers schedules the classes more flexibly; the coordination of the classes is based on the schedules of both the students and the teachers.
All lessons last from one hour, 90 minutes or two hours.
Language Trainers has a minimum booking of 12 hours. Maximum group size: 8.
Beyond the Phrasebook -
Online Italian Lessons for Travelers
This is a short course especially designed with the traveler in mind. Students who sign up for this course can expect to learn about local customs, essential phrases, culture, food, what to do in an emergency, etc. Our trainers will instruct the students on how to make introductions, how to exchange money, receiving directions and booking accommodations. Students may also extend the course to include more specific needs such as adopting a child, moving to a foreign country, or conducting business with a foreign country. Other needs not listed here may also be considered as part of the course.
This course consists of ten 90 minute sessions. The student may reduce this to five 90 minute sessions if there is little time before the trip.
This class is offered as one-to-one or two-to-one with the option of adding additional students.
